The Sainte-Anne Singers

The Sainte-Anne Singers were founded in 1987 by current director Margo Keenan as a small group of a cappella enthusiasts. The ensemble performs contemporary choral works by Canadian, American and Northern European composers, as well as standards of a cappella repertoire from all eras. In 2010 and 2015, the ensemble was awarded second place in the chamber choir category of the National Competition for Canadian Amateur Choirs, and received an Honourable Mention in the same category in 2019. They were named a “Choeur Fleuron” by the Alliance chorale du Québec in 2019 in recognition of the group’s musical quality and contribution to the Quebec choral scene. They have performed numerous times at the Montreal Bach Festival “Night of Choirs”, the West Island’s Festival de la Voix, and in the closing concert of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra’s Classical Spree.
